Liverpool schoolchildren received the surprise of a lifetime yesterday when Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr walked into their classroom carrying bags of presents.
The two surviving Beatles were visiting a local primary school as part of a community program, but no one expected them to arrive with such warmth and generosity. Each child received a small gift — books, instruments, and even Beatles-themed notebooks.
The highlight came when Paul handed a young boy his very first guitar, saying with a smile:
“This might be the start of your music journey.”
Meanwhile, Ringo gave out small percussion instruments and encouraged the children to play along as he tapped out a rhythm on a drum. Laughter filled the room as the students clapped and sang with their heroes.
One teacher described the moment as “a magical day the children will never forget — they didn’t just meet legends, they felt loved by them.”
For Paul and Ringo, it was more than charity — it was a reminder that music, kindness, and hope always begin with the next generation.
