In a gesture that has touched hearts worldwide, legendary Beatle Paul McCartney has quietly donated $2 million to a children’s orphanage in Liverpool, the city where his own story began.
According to the charity’s director, McCartney’s support will go toward providing housing, education, and medical care for children who have lost their families.
“Paul didn’t want publicity—he simply wanted to give these kids a future,” said Margaret Hughes, head of the Liverpool Children’s Home. “For him, it’s about love, not headlines.”
Witnesses say McCartney spent time with the children, sharing stories, singing songs, and reminding them that they too can dream big. Many were moved to tears as he softly hummed “Hey Jude” with the group.
This is not the first time McCartney has championed humanitarian causes. Throughout his career, he has supported education, animal rights, and disaster relief efforts.
